The travertine terraces are formed by the hot springs. They rise to the surface and deposit dissolved limestone and produce dramatic patterns. In this image, I focused on the many layers, patterns, and reflections.
Traveling east from Mammoth Hot Springs on Grand Loop Road is Undine Falls. Water from Lava Creek Tuff runs into this stunning 60-foot waterfall.
